Amazing Authors

Age: 8,9,10
Project Year: 2010-11

As part of this project the students produced a storybook together.

At first we told each other about the areas where we live and about the school. We video conferenced every 2 weeks to develop oral language, comunicating and presenting skills. One aspect of the project was narrative writing. Each group did a narrative plan and sent the plan on to the corresponding group in the partner school. Next the children wrote the story using the plan that has been forwarded. The stories were sent back and the corresponding group to design and create illustrations to accompany the story. Following this the books were made and each school gets a copy of the books. For Dissolving Boundaries Day we video conferenced using Elluminate and pupils from St Munchin's can be seen lining up to take part.

Face-to-Face:

For the face-to-face both schools planed a trip to Dublin Zoo. Each school will take part in the adopt an animal campaign in dublin zoo and complete science projects based on some of the animals we children toys will see at the zoo. We will present our projects about the animals to our partner schools via video conference. where buy best replica watches
