Brilliant Business Plans and Exciting Entrepreneurship

Age: 15,16
Project Year: 2010-11

Students developed business plans that were reviewed by their partner school

Pupils from the schools uploaded brief profiles on the wiki and met via VC to break the ice. After the first VC another one was held shortly afterwards; pupils from each school questioned student entrepreneurs from Askeaton 2010 projects about the skills needed to be successful in business. There was also a VC with a Northern Ireland businessperson who was an ex-Lurgan College pupil. Students from both schools worked in their teams completing mini enterprise business plans that they sent to their partners for critique. The businesses ideas ranged from; "To Be" a booklet about soccer that give helpful tips to young emerging players, "JAM" a handy plasticine gadget to "The Trade Station" a business that trades DVD’s and games.
