Age: 8,9,10
Project Year: 2011-12

Project was to look at weather and extreme weather around the world and the pupils would decide how they would enjoy to present their research and information they find on a given weather feature.

NI school decide they enjoy the features and aspects of broadcsats, so within groups, they have videoed and recorded a variety of weather forecasts, relating to hurricanes, tornadoes, general weather. We have really enjoyed our group work and reviewing the final work.

Schools met in Balbriggan - Oscar Traynor Sports Centre. On Tuesday 19th June, Cookstown PS travelled to Brilbriggan, to be hosted by Brilbriggan Educate Together. During the day the children took part in a variety of sporting events and competitions orgainsed in Oscar Traynor. The children were grouped into their DB groups so they mixed and got to know the children they have been talking to throughout the year. Finally the day ended with the children going to Ardgillian Castle, for a picnic and had time to play around the grounds.
