Project on rainforests and the question "Where they are?". Titanic and Belfast then and now

Profiles based on each childs individuality.

Rainforests---Where they are, what they are, who lives there. what we get from the rainforests and deforestation --what man is doing to endanger the species and the land.

Titanic--- Belfast then and now, Maiden voyage, Disaster strikes, life on board and Harland and Wolffe.

Face-to-Face:

Two face to face meetings in the Pump House Dock - Belfast and Dublinia - Wood Quay. The history of the Titanic being made in Belfast, the dry dock where she was built and the pump house whereall the engines were powered from. The visit to Dublinia was about an Vikings coming to Dublin and the way in which they lived. The Children also did an archaeological dig. Pupils also visited each others schools.

Videoconferencing:

We video-conferenced with what was going on around Christmas Time to start with. We did many others where the children would talk about the projects they were doing at the time. We also on D.B day did an Olympic rap and dance for the Assembly we were putting on for the School. The Fantastic bridges that were made by Rush school and the Titanic models by Forge. Children showed and spoke about them.

For Dissolving Boundaries Day 2014 we invited schools to send us short video recordings that show what DB means to them. We've pieced these together into a movie!

A documentary about linking schools through ICT; case studies of cross-border links between Northern Ireland and Ireland in the Dissolving Boundaries programme and in Israel through the TEC program.
