Pupils worked on designing a house and foods of europe

Both classes were split up in 10 groups (2/3 in each group) and each group was matched with a group from the other school.  Using the forums, the groups got to know each other first and a little about each others schools.  Then they started to talk about and design a house that they would like to build.  During the face to face meetings they will use the computer room in Carniny Primary School to create a brochure, advertising their house and when they meet in Donabate/Portrane Educate Together National School, they will make a 3-D model of their house using recycled materials

Face to face meeting

Three Face to Face meetings were held:
The first one in Carniny Primary school in February
The second one in Donabate
The third one in Armagh
On each school face to face the children  co-hosted a European Fair in which the classes from the rest of the school will visited. The children made/bought food items for their country that they sold for paper euros. Each country tried to sell the most.

The third face to face was a celebration of the project in which each school traveled to Armagh for a fun day.

Media Gallery

For Dissolving Boundaries Day 2014 we invited schools to send us short video recordings that show what DB means to them. We've pieced these together into a movie!

A documentary about linking schools through ICT; case studies of cross-border links between Northern Ireland and Ireland in the Dissolving Boundaries programme and in Israel through the TEC program.
