Ancient Egypt

Egypt: Pupils learned about the Ancient Egyptians. Class groups completed projects on Egypt and made a booklet. Pupils wrote their names in hieroglyphics. Pupils completed arts projects and listened to Egyptian music. Pupils corresponded on DB site.

Face-to-face meeting

Venue: Castlewellan Discovery Park
The meeting was held in May. The venue was chosen as it was cost effective and easy to get to from both locations. The pupils went through a maze and completed orienteering and canoeing activities. The pupils mixed as they were divided into groups.

Videoconferencing

Videoconferencing was completed occasionally. There were difficulties with the technology. On the videoconferencing, we shared information about ourselves, or schools and our projects. The pupils also sang songs.

Media Gallery

For Dissolving Boundaries Day 2014 we invited schools to send us short video recordings that show what DB means to them. We've pieced these together into a movie!

A documentary about linking schools through ICT; case studies of cross-border links between Northern Ireland and Ireland in the Dissolving Boundaries programme and in Israel through the TEC program.
