An exploration of the school environment and our local area

The students got to know each other by creating personal profiles on the wiki's and sending messages in the forums. Our project involved the students working in groups to explore the school environment and our local area under the following heading:

  • Location
  • Population Dynamics
  • Culture and Religion
  • Industry and Work
  • History
  • Sport and Leisure

Students created wiki pages where they uploaded information and photos related to their section.

Face-to-Face

We had our face-to face meeting in the Share Centre Enniskillen on March 25th. The 2 groups enjoyed outdoor group activities. The students both north and south worked together in their project groups. This facilitated a good rapport between the students themselves. There were plenty of photographs taken on the day and these were posted on the gallery of the project some of which can be seen below.

Schools Involved

Media Gallery

For Dissolving Boundaries Day 2014 we invited schools to send us short video recordings that show what DB means to them. We've pieced these together into a movie!

A documentary about linking schools through ICT; case studies of cross-border links between Northern Ireland and Ireland in the Dissolving Boundaries programme and in Israel through the TEC program.
