Learning from each others business ventures

At the start of the project the schools got to know each other by using the forums and filling in the wiki profiles. As part of the project our schools took on separate business projects but collaborated on their organisation and progress via Moodle forums and wikis. For example, students were divided into teams with specific duties such as the Production Department, the Marketing Department, the Finance Department and the Selling & Distribution Department. One student in Northern Ireland posted a message in Moodle:

We grew daffodils, tag heuer replica watches loads of people bought them like teachers, parents and classroom assistants. We planned this for the weekend of Mother’s Day which helped the sales. We grew them in wee bags that were stripy blue or red with little flags in them indicating who grew them lovingly with the logo. Altogether we raised £223 for Marie Curie.

Media Gallery

For Dissolving Boundaries Day 2014 we invited schools to send us short video recordings that show what DB means to them. We've pieced these together into a movie!

A documentary about linking schools through ICT; case studies of cross-border links between Northern Ireland and Ireland in the Dissolving Boundaries programme and in Israel through the TEC program.
